I have to say it again! The Wassail Paper collection by Basic Grey is absolutely Fantastic!! I don’t know if the colors fit my personality or touch my soul but every piece of the collection just screams out endless possibilities….Okay….I agree that’s just pretty darn corny but If you are a sucker for a pretty piece of paper like I am………………you can relate!
So here is another card I came up with using Wassail. I pulled out my Bundle Up stamp set from Stampin’ Up (retired for a while) and inked up the sweater, hat and gloves with Bravo Burgundy Craft Ink. I embossed them with Claret Tapestry embossing powder by the Personal Stamp Exchange. I cut them out and put them aside and cut two squares with my nestabilities and sponged the edges of the snowflake paper with burgundy ink. I layered them and added platium liquid pearls dots to the edges. I popped up the sweater, hat and gloves on the square and added that to my layered 5.5X5.5 card base. I then stamped the brrr… sentiment with bravo burgundy craft ink and embossed with the claret tapestry EP and cut it out with my oval nestabilities I sponged the edges of the sahara Sand Paper with burgundy ink, I added the cranberry crisp ribbon and punched two snowflakes using my new Martha Stewart punch, I added a few brads to the snowflakes and added the sentiment “warm winter wishes” to the inside of the card and – wallahhhh! A nice after the holiday card for a few people that I forgot to send Christmas cards to.
Thanks for looking!
