Happy New Year!! I hope everyone had a nice holiday. Since it was so stinkin’ cold we decided to change our plans and stay in town. We still had a lovely time – I always enjoy spending time with my family and am blessed to have them so close to me!
I’m enjoying my last 4 day weekend for a while and have been on a roll. These cards were inspired by the OCC weekly challenge (Our Creative Corner) to use something clear. I’ve used some holiday stickers I’ve had from my scrapbooking days and put them on a transparency and cut them out.
This card was made using Chocolate Bazzill Card stock and patterned paper from the Boxer collection by Basic Grey. The Deer is a sticker that was placed on a transparency and cut out with my nestabilities. The cream color paper behind the transparency was stamped with the bough from the Ornamental Christmas set by Verve Visual in Sahara Sand. The gold ribbon and dots were picked up at my local craft store.
This card was made with Always Artichoke Card stock, Cranberry Bazzill and the patterned paper is from the Wassail collection by Basic Grey. The Santa is a sticker by MAMBI placed on a transparency and cut out with my nestabilities. The light green paper behind the transparency is stamped with the bough from the Ornamental Christmas set by Verve Visual in Sahara Sand. The sentiment is a dollar stamp I picked up from Michael’s several years ago is stamped with Bravo Burgundy on the snowflake patterned paper. The sentiment and Santa are popped up and the gold ribbon is from the clearance bin from Michael’s. If I would have known how much I was going to love it I would have picked up all they had………
This card was made with Cranberry Bazzill Card Stock, Always Artichoke by Stampin’ Up and Christmas Cheer Patterned Paper by K&Company. The Santa is a sticker by MAMBI attached to a transparency and cut out. I then layered it with my nestabilities and used a gold pen to add some dots around the scalloped edges. The sentiment is by Stampin’ Up and was inked up with Craft Bravo Burgundy and embossed with Claret Tapestry by the Personal Stamp Exchange. I used more of that lovely gold ribbon and TaaDaa! Another Christmas card! It drives me crazy that I get inspired for Christmas Cards after the Holiday! Well – I guess I’m ahead of the game for 2009!
Changing gears………..Since it’s time to start thinking about Valentine’s I pulled out my Olive You set from Stampin’ Up and put this card together. I’ve had these 4X4 note cards from AMuse forever, I always intended to use them for Halloween but I just love black and white with a little red combo! So I samped the image with black craft ink onto shimmery white card stock by PaperTray Inc and embossed it with clear EP, I colored the olive and heart with my Copic markers and cut/embossed the image with my nestabilities. I added the red grosgrain ribbon and some pink rhinstones and that’s it!
Thanks for stopping by!
