Just a few random cards I’ve made…….I love making cards with my most favorite Vampire….He just makes my heart flutter……they are sometimes hard to give up. The other two cards were sample cards for a bridal shower.
Just a few cards to add. More thank you cards, this time using Urban Prairie by Basic Gray…..I’ve gotta use up all of my older stuff to make room for the new…I’ve got a big order of new Basic Grey goodies that should be on it’s way to me any day now………I just love new stuff!!
The base of the card is Carribean Blue the DP is all Urban Prairie by Basic Gray, the butterfly and flowers are rub ons by Stampin up and the sentiments are random words I’ve got hanging around and of course I stickled the entire card…..gotta love stickle glitter glue……
All have the same layout, I just used the DP a little differently. I sometime struggle with mixing patterns, so when I get in a groove I just try to go with it.
Thanks for stopping by……..
Just a quick post today while I help my son with his homework. If I don’t stay on him we will be working on spelling words until bedtime…. These cards were made for Zachary’s Grandmothers for the birthday gifts they gave him this year. They are always very generous so I like to make something special for them.
The base is dark purple Bazzil paper coordinating with the Basic Grey Wisteria Collection and Pale Plum by Stampin’ Up, DP is BG – Wisteria and the White card stock is by Paper Trey Ink (it’s the best) The Flower is from the Herb Expressions Set, it’s the Thyme flower without the word by it, I masked it. The Heartfelt and Thanks are from the Heartfelt thanks set that I have not used in years……it’s just worked with this card….so I’m glad that I’ve kept it around. I colored the flowers with a combo of Stampin Up Markers and my Copics. I used my nestabilities to do the layering and the ribbon is by PTI.
I made a few extra with the last piece of DP, I just made this one a regular 4X5 card.
Thanks for stopping by.
I’m back for a quick update. My super extended weekend didn’t quite work out like I’d hoped for, so I’m off to work tomorrow! No worries though, it’s only two days until the weekend again…….I’ve just got a few thank you cards that I wanted to share, I find that you really can never have too many extra thank you cards on hand, so if I get in a groove I always try to try to throw a Thank you card in the mix. These were made using Basic Grey Wisteria.
I used River Rock as the base the rest of the patterned paper, stickers and chip board is Basic Grey Wisteria. The sentient is a rub on by Stampin Up.
Thanks for Stopping by.
Hey there, I’m still enjoying my super extended long weekend and have been on a roll updating my blog, facebook page, organizing thousands of digital photos….gosh it’s been so nice and what a feeling of accomplishment! I’m even thinking about calling my boss and extending my leave for the whole week!! 🙂 I’ll let you know how that one turns out!
In the mean time I just have a few quick things I would like to post. This first one was first inspired by the designer paper then by the sentiment – whatever the inspiration, I’m really pleased with how it turned out.
The base paper is Always Artichoke by Stampin Up and Spring Moss by PTI and the DP is by K&Co. The flowers are from the Eastern Blooms set by Stampin’s Up and are stamped in Groovy Guava, Always Artichoke, Kiwi Kiss, Apricot Appeal, Pumpkin Pie, Blue Bayou and Soft Sky. The sentiment is by Verve Visual and is stamped with Always Artichoke.
Just a pic of the inside of the card, I used the same color flowers and had this sentiment from an old PTI set. The inside of the card and the envelope have to be as lovely as the outside….. thanks for stopping by today.
Hey there, I’m back with a few more things to post today. Here are the last of the cards from my Ketto Frenzy….I still haven’t used all of them but as always – time is the enemy and I haven’t figured out how to beat it yet! Enjoy
This is Yoko and Ono – Aren’t they just so darn stinkin’ Cute?
Suzette felt a little more like a Gypsy – So I used some old Basic Grey paper that I’ve been holding on too forever….. This is all I’ve got for today. I’ll be back tomorrow with something new and exciting – No Ketto’s – I promise….
For those of you that live in Ak you can relate and for those that don’t…..let me explain. Summer in Ak is not for the faint of heart, the term “Fast and Furious” becomes a quickly adapted way of life for the short 3-4 months we call summer. Days become never ending, you will find yourself outside doing yard work or playing badminton with your kids and to your complete surprise realize that’s it’s actually a quarter till midnight. It doesn’t seem odd because the entire neighborhood is out doing the same thing. You spend weekends chasing Salmon from one end of this great state to other starting at the Copper River with the first batch of delicious salmon, then the Kings and silvers start to make their way north and if we are lucky we can grab a few out of the Chena river then for the really hard core – they head to Chitna for a little dip netting. The Chitna River is so fast and Silty that if you ever get in…..you will never come out! I’ve heard stories about people having to literally tie themselves to trees to keep from being pulled in by the current. These same crazy people have also told me that they have had to share their fishing space with wild bears – sometimes less than 50 yards away. If the fish are plentiful the bears will usually mind their own business.
I prefer the marathon gardening myself. You’ve heard that in Ak people can grow pumpkins that weigh 700 plus lbs…well it’s true! If you need proof , just take yourself to the Ak State Fair in Palmer. I prefer the occasional 24 inch zucchini or yellow squash myself. This year I tried bell peppers and strawberries. the Pepper plant is going pretty well, the strawberries – not so well, I’ve had two total strawberries so far……guess that isn’t my thing. My favorite thing is herbs, I had basil – all kinds of basil this year. Italian, lemon, Thai, Large Leaf, some that grew like a little shrub, some that was a lovely purple. I also had oregano, lemon thyme, rosemary, cilantro, lemon balm and I even tried catnip – which my old kitty has been most grateful for. I also got sucked in to the topsy-turvy infomercials early in the year and got one for tomatoes and for strawberries. I have the biggest, healthiest tomato plant you can imagine, I just don’t have that many tomatoes – In Ak, you really need to grow tomatos in a green house – but I thought I would give it a try, now my strawberry planter – it has twelve openings – I put 3 strawberry plants in and filled the rest with herbs – the herbs have just gone wild – Oregano and Thyme and Rosemary oh my!
So, that is my reason for my summer time disappearance, but I am back and promise to be a faithful blog poster through the long cold winter. Here are a few picture…….
This is my first pepper plant.
This healthy plant only has 5 small tomatoes on it! I need a green house!
The Petunias are still hanging on. The super cool mornings are going to nab them pretty soon.
Here is my strawberry planter filled with Basil, Thyme, Oregano and rosemary – I say check the strawberries!
Finally – Here are a few cards I’ve made and photographed this summer. Like a lot of people I got totally wrapped up in the Ketto Fairies that you can pick up over at the Stamping Bella Website. Are are a few things that I’ve made with them!
Agnes is so darn pretty in pink!
Calliope made the best thank you card for the little girls that came to Zach’s Birthday party!
Charlotte is classy and fabulous!
Mismatch Ketto was the perfect princess for my adorable little Neice Gabby who turned 1 this summer!
Lulu and Maisy turned out to be more lovely thank you cards for the little girls that came to Zach-a-doo’s birthday party!
I’ve got more to add but have to do some running around today. I’ll be back later.
~Thanks for stopping by……
How much I love Basic Grey Paper? I literally wait by the mail box for the latest and greatest shipment…….when I open the package I feel this sort of buzz…something is in the small box just waiting for me to piece it together to make something beautiful…….I Love It Love It Love It……
Yes – I’m weird….I never denied that…..any-hoo here are a few things I came up with using my new Wisteria paper, stickers and stamps…….
I used Bazzil Purple, River Rock and Whisper White by Stampin’ Up, the patterned paper is the new Wisteria Collection by Basic Grey, I used my nestabilities for the the main image, which I stamped with the Pom stamp set in Sahara Sand, River Rock, Mellow Moss and Kiwi Kiss – I stamped the image off once to mellow the color out. I stamped the sentiment with Elegant Eggplant (craft) and embossed with clear EP. I added the butterfly Cardstock sticker, pearls, button w/ twine and stickles.
For this one I did the same thing I just used a dragon fly cardstock sticker.
thanks for stopping by – I hope to have more tomorrow!
I made the Cover of a Magazine!!! I can’t believe it. Even finding out about it was awesome. I was in my local craft store and happend over to the magazines just to make sure that there wasn’t a new one out that I have seen yet and I had to do a double take! Can it be? Is that my card on the cover of the Stamper’s Sampler Catch Up issue?
Here is a full picture of the card. Thanks for stopping by.
